Ghigho Aghofen Handover to Orere-Uluba

With joy in the air and the spirit of heritage alive, the sacred grounds of Aghofen came aglow yesterday as Orere-Uluba was officially installed as the next custodian of the Ghigho Aghofen watch. The ceremony unfolded as an enduring tradition passed like a sacred torch from one faithful community to the next. The atmosphere echoed with drums and rhythm, as Ekurede bowed out with pride, their season of watch complete, and Orere-Uluba in large numbers rose with reverence to take their place in Aghofen.

His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, in his characteristic grace, expressed his delight in welcoming the incoming community.
