Day 6 of His Majesty Ògíamè Atuwatse III, CFR’s 4th Coronation Anniversary was marked by a historic and dignified ceremony at the Palace Auditorium, where the prestigious Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) was officially conferred on select distinguished sons and daughters of the Iwere Nation. This milestone event was a key highlight of the ongoing celebrations, reflecting the kingdom’s deep reverence for service, excellence, and legacy.

The Royal Order of Iwere, unveiled as part of a broader vision introduced with the Royal Iwere Society two years ago, stands as one of the kingdom’s highest honors, second only to the chieftaincy. Bestowed personally by His Majesty, the ROI recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to society, attaining success with integrity in their respective fields.

This year’s honorees were:
• Papa Ayodele J. Oritsejafor (OFR, ROI)
• Dr. Oti Ikomi (ROI)
• Dr. (Mrs.) Helen Boyo-Ekwueme (ROI)
• Mrs. Tara Fela-Durotoye (ROI)
• Dr. Ebi Omatsola (ROI)

These new ROI recipients automatically join the Royal Iwere Society, becoming part of a distinguished collective poised to elevate the society’s reach and influence globally. The event was graced by family, friends, dignitaries, and international delegates, including representatives from the United States, reinforcing its grandeur and global resonance.
The occasion not only honored personal excellence but also emphasized His Majesty’s vision of inspiring future generations through recognition, unity, and cultural pride.
