The celebrations of the Coronation Anniversary events of His Majesty Ògíamè Atuwatse III today reached their highest crescendo yet, marking exactly four years since His Majesty’s ascension to the revered throne of the Warri Kingdom.

The palace grounds came alive with colour, grandeur, and cultural magnificence, as the Itsekiri nation turned out in their multitudes to honour the throne with the tradition of homage-paying at Aghofen. Adorned in regal attire and radiant hues, sons and daughters of Iwere, alongside friends and well-wishers, filled the palace with music, dance, and unrestrained jubilation.

His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State (represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor), congratulated His Majesty and described His reign as a beacon of peace, unity, and purposeful leadership. Also present were honourable members of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Today’s event was not merely an observance, but a profound expression of loyalty, reverence, and communal pride that defines the Itsekiri nation—a testament to the deep-seated devotion and admiration that the people hold for their king, and a celebration of shared heritage and identity.
The homage-paying continues to be a majestic reminder that the crown of Warri is more than a symbol of authority; it is the living essence of unity, identity, and a rallying point for all sons and daughters of the kingdom today and for generations to come.
