774 of our nation’s young and bright minds in the medical profession were yesterday, 6th March 2025, assembled and launched into the National Health Fellows program, an initiative of the Presidency through the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III delivered a goodwill remark congratulating the young professionals drawn from across all 774 local governments, charging them on the importance of personal leadership in advancing healthcare reforms, realizing Nigeria’s human capital development and economic prosperity, and encouraging them to make the most of the opportunity they have now received to make a great positive impact on our collective healthcare as a nation.
In conclusion, His Majesty assured Mr President of the support of the traditional institution, pledging to provide a safe space and wise counsel to support the fellows in their leadership journeys.
