Over the past 12 editions, a key part of the Ghigho Aghofen ceremonies has been the celebration and participation of other ethnic groups beyond the Itsekiri. In this just concluded edition, it was His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III’s pleasure to have in attendance the Pere of Kabowei kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Barr. Peremobowei Shedrack Erebulu, Aduo III and his lovely Queen.
The ceremony also saw participation and presentations from the Igbo community, the Igala community, the Ijaw community, the Ilaje community as well as other communities resident within Warri.
His Majesty prays that the bonds of peace, love and unity will continue to wax even stronger and that we continue to celebrate our uniqueness focusing our minds on what unites rather than divides us.
